Dr. Dominguez is a native Texan from Laredo, where she grew up and attended Texas A & M International University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Biology Major and an Anthropology Minor. Dr. Dominguez graduated medical school in 2009 from the University of Texas Health Science Center and soon after she began residency at Medstar Washington Hospital Center/ Georgetown Residency Program, in Washington DC. Some of her professional memberships include: American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association and National Latina Leadership Institute.
Some of her honorary accomplishments include 2011 Humanitarian of the Year Award, from Washington Hospital Center and Honorable Mention poster and presentation as medical student research with American Academy of Family Physicians Annual Scientific Assembly.
Dr. Dominguez is a native bilingual Spanish and English speaker. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, hiking and camping. She loves to travel and one of her goals is to visit all 50 states in the United States by age 50. She recently visited Guatemala with HELPS International, where along with a team of fellow physicians, she gave medical services to the underserved communities. Humanitarian work has always been her main focus and she plans to continue doing this type of work.
